Sick Visits

If your child is sick and needs to be seen in our office, please call us at 314-991-1217 for an appointment as soon as possible - we schedule same-day sick visits Monday through Friday. To allow us to serve you better, we do not take walk-in appointments.

If you're uncertain about your child's health or symptoms, feel free to call our office to speak with one of our staff. They can help you decide if it’s something you can easily manage at home, or if you'd be better off with an appointment to see Dr. Strashun.

Our staff members will ask questions about your child's symptoms, the duration of the symptoms, health issues your child might have, and any medications (including over-the-counter meds) your child is taking. Being prepared to answer those questions will help the call go as quickly and as smoothly as possible.

Well Child Visits

At Dr. Strashun’s office, we do more than just help your children when they're sick; we help them, and your whole family, stay well. The most important (and most enjoyable) way we do this is to see you for a series of Well Child Visits. We'll monitor your child's growth and development, answer any questions or concerns you may have, and provide a series of important vaccinations that help prevent serious illnesses and even save lives.

For each visit, we have a handout with information specific to your child’s age and stage of development, and we’ll also deliver them straight to your Patient Portal account so you can refer back to them anytime.

Please call our office to schedule an appointment and our front desk staff will accommodate your desired time to the best of their ability. If you are running late or need to reschedule, please contact our office as soon as possible. Our schedules are open a year in advance, so you can always book your next Well Visit before you leave the office!

Information We'll Need at Your Visit

Upon registration we'll need the following information and items:

  • Insurance Card (if you’re a member of one of the plans we accept);

  • The name, date of birth and address of the plan member;

  • The patient’s name, address and date of birth;

  • Contact phone numbers for both parents and/or all guardians.

We believe in the effectiveness of vaccines to prevent serious illness, to promote health and wellness, and to save lives. For more information about vaccines and our Vaccine Policy Statement, please click here.
