Welcome and thank you for choosing Dr. Strashun as your child's pediatrician! We've included helpful items on this page to ensure that your first trip to our office is productive, stress-free and enjoyable.
What to Expect
On the day of your child's first visit to our office, we recommend arriving about 15 minutes early. This allows extra time for finishing up any registration forms and ensures that you have plenty of time to get acquainted with our staff and office. During your initial appointment, we'll explain everything in detail and answer any questions you may have.
Please take a look at the information about our practice available on our website, so you can feel confident that you and your child are well-prepared for your first appointment. We also invite you to review our About Us page in order to get to know Dr. Strashun and our staff.
If you're preparing for your child's first visit, you can do a few things to help expedite the appointment. When you book your appointment our staff may ask you to download some forms from our website; please make sure to complete them and bring them with you.
We will also need the following:
Insurance Card information;
The name, date of birth and address of the plan member;
Your child's address and date of birth;
Contact phone numbers for both parents and/or all guardians.
In addition, please provide the following information when you arrive for your visit:
Medical records from your previous pediatrician (or the completed Release of Records form)
Health Insurance Plans
We accept most insurance plans, including Missouri Medicaid. Because we participate with so many different plans, we can't know the provisions of each patient's policy. We do recommend that you make every effort to understand your insurance coverage and, if necessary, contact your carrier before receiving services, so you can verify your coverage levels (such as those for preventative care,) your co-pay, dedictible, and co-insurance responsibilities. Please make sure to bring your insurance card to each visit. You can view more information about insurance, including which plans we accept, here.
Your insurance company contractually obligates us to collect — and you’re responsible to pay — your co-payment at the time of your visit. Please have your co-payment ready at check-in. If you don’t pay your co-payment at the time of service, we’ll need to add a fee (currently $10) for the cost of billing you.
You can now pay your bill securely online! Please see our Payments page for more information or to make a payment.
You can also pay at our office. We accept checks, cash or credit cards (Mastercard, Visa and Discover.) We also offer flexible payment plans. Please speak to our staff for details.
Life happens, so we understand that sometimes you can’t make your appointment. Please call us at least one full business day in advance to cancel or change an appointment. If you don’t call to cancel in advance, we reserve the right to charge a $25 No-Show Fee to cover the cost of the unfilled appointment slot.
